Zoom65 V2: Essential Edition is the latest iteration of the highly popular 65% kit. 

Zoom V2 EE comes with almost everything you need to build your keyboard. You only need your own keycaps and switches of choice.

It comes with a Bluetooth 5.0 PCB that can also be used in wired mode. A rechargeable Li-Ion battery is included. 

Choose from 14 different case colors and 9 different weight / knob finishes. Each Zoom65 comes with a backplate that matches the case color, except for e-white. More details in the product photos on this page. Additional backplates are sold separately for further customization

Note about Faint Blurple & Lilac

The colors in real life are a bit different from what’s shown on renders here. This is what those colors actually look like

Compatibility

Zoom65 V1 gaskets, plates, cases, internal weights are not compatible with V2 and vice versa.

The external weight fits but not perfectly and not without some finessing.

Knobs and PCBs are compatible across Zoom65 V1 and V2

Mech.land recommended build

We recommend the following build adjustments for a slightly louder, but much crisper sounding and more bouncy / flexy typing experience:

• No plate standoffs except the two next to the knob
• No PORON foam under the PCB
• No PORON foam on the bottom case. You can use a little bit of polyfill if you’d like a slightly deeper sound.
• No PORON stabilizer pad under the included stabilizers. 
• 205g0 in the stabilizer housings and stems and XHT-BDZ on the stabilizer wires. 
• Lubed and filmed long pole linear switches (like WS Onion, DS Peach Bloom V2, Flower Shadow, Roselle etc.) at the stabilizer keys, or at least the spacebar
